Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)
Ibuprofen
Relieves pain, reduces inflammation and lowers fever. Especially useful for pain with swelling, such as sprains and toothache.

- Toothache and period pain
- Muscle, joint and back pain

- Headache
- Fever
How to take it
Adults: usually 200mg to 400mg up to three times a day with or after food. Leave at least 4 hours between doses. Do not take more than 1,200mg a day unless a doctor advises it. Children should use a children’s product at the dose on the pack.

Common side effects
- Indigestion, heartburn or stomach pain
- Nausea
- Headache or dizziness
Warnings
- Do not take if you have a stomach ulcer or have had one before
- Talk to us first if you have asthma, high blood pressure, heart, kidney or liver disease
- Avoid in pregnancy, especially from 20 weeks, unless a doctor advises it
- Do not combine with other anti-inflammatory painkillers such as diclofenac or aspirin
